Program Overview
The Industrial Assessment Center at UA (AIAC) has well-established expertise in energy assessments and management of small, rural businesses. AIAC assessments/assistance are performed by a team of students and a faculty member via energy data assessment, site visits, subsequent analysis, and energy-saving recommendations in the areas of compressed air use, electric motor operation, lighting, boilers, process heat, utilities, etc. AIAC has dispatched energy assessment teams to manufacturers to conduct energy efficiency assistance. Students are trained to have energy assessment and engineering skills that are highly sought-after by employers. AIAC has trained 125 students.
